Our first workshop for The Atlantide Project is complete!
We gathered for this workshop at Teatro Trieste Trentaquattro, where we were supported by an amazing rehearsal space, as well as our second residency at the Filippo Arcelloni Theater Hostel Piacenza once again welcomed us with open arms and full cupboards. Our experiences in this city continue to teach us a great deal about community, curiosity, and collaborative resourcing.
When we workshopped Medusa in Piacenza, last year, we focused our access design experimentation on multilingual Audio Description and Open Captioning, the logistics of creating promenade performance that can be equitably experienced by people with low mobility, as well as resources and accommodations for performers and community members who are pregnant, or joining us with their children and families.
Our ensemble consisted of Piacenza based artists including Elisa Ferrari, Roberto Dassoni, Esmeralda Righi, Pietro Fenucci, Luca Favero. The workshop was facilitated by Carolina Migli Bateson, John Jack Paterson, and River Coello.
Environmental Disaster. Political Corruption. Class Warfare. Sound Familiar?
